Say No To Platform Sandals!
Like most shoes there are the good, the bad, and the just plain ugly that make you ask yourself "Why would anyone thing of buying that or just think it is a good look in general?" That thought came to me when shopping for shoes today when seeing the horrid platform sandals. The shoes ended up being on clearance because the trend luckily was dying down. Even thought the trend did not last long, it was very popular while it was in style. A sandal and a wedge do not mix! It's a little hard to go the beach in sandal with a big platform on the bottom for your shoe. The whole point of a wedge is to have it the feeling of high heels without the heals. It is almost looks life someone has something like a brick on the bottom of a sandal and are just clunking around. Someone apparently though thought they liked the lift, but not the whole angled feet part, so they invented the platform sandals or sandal wedge. To make the idea of the sandal wedge worse, not only do they have the lift of a heel, some have the lift and the heel to match. Are they wedges formal or not? It is hard to tell with a heel on a pair of shoes that are suppose to be for more casual wear.
